I love the Lord and serving in any way I can. I am a romantic at heart. In my spare time, I enjoy all types of paper crafts, stamping, scrapping, etc. (Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited my site). Thanks!

Hi, I'm Back!

Take a look at the Grandeur and Beauty of Sahuarita, AZ

Well, it's been a while but I'm back. Let's see. Well I got a new hair color and cut from my wonderful SIL this week (you can see it on this here blog). Today, very early this morning, Mike and I went for a ride in the desert. We took some great pics and had an awesome time just seeing all the beautiful things surrounding us. It was cool to see the mountains up close and personal. It was so serene and beautiful. I also uploaded two short videos (very amateurish for sure, but they are on my Facebook account if you care to look). Otherwise, nothing else is too new. The house is coming along slowly but surely and I will have to go and take some updated pictures soon. So, just checking in. Take care, God's blessings to you all and keep in touch!

The Monsoons have Arrived!

Hello family and friends. Well the monsoons have arrived for certain. It rains really hard for awhile and then seems to clear up pretty quickly. The wind kicks up and it cools down really fast too. I have a few pictures for Brian because you asked, although they are not really too clear. These are from yesterday. Today, they finished the stucco on the outside of the house and it is ready for the painting, but I don't think that happens just yet. They still have to do the inside finishing stuff I would guess. So, here you go Brian. Enjoy the show. Once we know what the next step is we will keep you posted.

It's Official, We are now Arizona Residents!

Well, we went to the DMV today and made it official. We now have Arizona licenses and registration, and so the transition continues. We are officially members of the Grand Canyon State. They even took our Wisconsin DL's away. They said if was a federal offense to be licensed in two states. I never knew that! So, now we get to continue our saga on changing names and addresses on all our important documents, etc. I will be an expert mover/relocator before we are done!

Mike is brushing up on his firearm skills as you are allowed to carry a gun on your person and in your car as long as it is not concealed. He will actually be taking a course to obtain a concealed weapons certification. It is all Greek to me but it gives him something to work on while we are waiting for the house to be completed.

Otherwise, nothing new on this end. We are waiting for thunderstorms to occur today. Mike and his Ma are taking a siesta and I am taking care of paperwork. Doesn't seem fair at all, but oh well. Will check in later.

TGIF Yeah!

(Brian, Angie, Bri, Ally and friends 4th of July parade)

Hello everyone. It is finally Friday, yeah. Well, I am now the proud owner of one web cam camera and IM program so that I get to chat live with my grandbabies in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. That is so coool. If anyone of you out there in cyberland have an IM account and a web cam, please shoot me an e-mail and I will give you my screen name so we can get started on live communication. Emma was thrilled to see me and Papa and she couldn't figure out how we could see her through the computer. What fun that was. We also had time for a song and a dance while we were visiting. The clarity on our end was pretty good, so hopefully this will be something that we can enjoy as our journey continues!

Let's see the house has now been drywalled (finally) and it is coming along rather well (I think). Hopefully within the next week to 10 days we will find out more about a closing date and further details about our situation. I have been busy making altered products for my upcoming craft show (when I find one in the area) and things are otherwise going well. Here is a picture of the Milwaukee gang from July 4th (thanks Angie and Amanda for sharing with me).

Another week closer to moving!

Today is Saturday and I just realized that I haven't blogged since earlier this week. My goodness, time sure flies when you are having fun. Anyway, we had our pre drywall meeting yesterday and the house is doing great! We passed the inspection and now they will begin the drywall and insulation process next week. Yeah, we are on our way now.

I have been making some product that I would like to sell at a craft show so I have been busy doing some stamping and altering some items. That has been fun.

Here is a picture of some recycled lemonade cans, pretty cute eh? I will fill em with some treats as little thank you gifts. I am working of some other stuff but am not ready to post em yet. So, I have been busy. It was my time to cook this week and we had a plethora of different meals. It was fun and now after tomorrow I have a week off. Tonight, is pizza and movie night so I get off easy . . . life is good, we are good and we are enjoying out time of rest from the chaos of life at this juncture in our journey. We will wait until we get settled to see what the next step is. So, my family and friends take care and God Bless! Have an awesome weekend!

Hi Brian these are for you!

Thanks for the call and update from Ang about your family's upcoming visit. Here are a few of the latest house pictures. As you can see, things are coming along slowly but surely. I know if you were here doing your magic, we would be already moved in (he!he!). I hope the weather is not too crazy by you. Talk to your bro, he had some weather issues last night. Well off to get some stuff done.

Happy Fourth of July a day late!

Hi everyone, hope you all had a great Fourth of July. We went to a parade in Patagonia and had breakfast at this old hotel and then in the evening we went to the home of my SIL's friends for supper and to watch the fireworks. We had a great day! The weather was cooler in the evening and we got to sit outside bug free and enjoy the spectacular show in Tubac. Here are a few pictures of our day. There were some truly beautiful cloud formations and we saw rain falling on the mountains as we drove throughout the day. Awesome sites we are seeing. We are so blessed to have Mike's sister as our tour guide. She knows a lot about the sites and sounds of our new living environment and is teaching us many great things. We are doing great and our house is ready for electrical and drywall. We are moving along now and hope to be in our new home perhaps by mid August.

Happy Birthday Emma Jean!

Well today is Tuesday and I want to say a very Happy 6th Birthday to Emma Jean!

We just got finished shopping for some furniture and getting more ideas about what we want to do with our home when it is built. The windows are in and it looks like they are ready to put the tar paper on the roof. That would make Mike really happy as when the monsoons come this will help keep the inside dry. So, hopefully they will put the electric in this week before the rains come.

It is supposed to be 105 plus degrees for the remainder of the week. At least it is cool inside and we really don't have to be out too much during the heat of the day. We usually do our running in the early AM.

Donna and I went shopping to Tucson last night and had a good time just hanging out together. She is helping to show me around to where all the cool shops and stuff are. It is just nice to have some 'sister' time. All is well otherwise. I am working on some cool projects that I would like to make for the granddies and maybe some to sell at like a craft show in the fall. We shall see how things develop. I have a lot of time on my hands to think about what I want to make and stuff.

Take care and I'll check in later!
